A Special Downeast Tradition: Treworgy Apple Orchard
One of our favorite Downeast traditions is our School-Wide Celebration at Treworgy Apple Orchard! This special day is about so much more than apples—it is about coming together as a school community.

Students and staff from PreK through Grade 3 had the opportunity to enjoy the orchard, spend time with friends and classmates, and make memories together. We love creating school-wide experiences where everyone can participate, connect, and feel like they belong.

Building a strong school community means making time for shared experiences, celebrating one another, and creating inclusive opportunities for all students. These moments help our students see that they are an important part of something bigger than their classroom.

Thank you to our staff for making this day possible and to our families for supporting the many experiences that make Downeast such a special place to learn and grow.

We are already looking forward to making this tradition continue for years to come!

Happy Custodian Appreciation Day!

Today, we celebrate the incredible custodians who do so much more than keep our schools clean, safe, and welcoming.

Our custodial staff are often among the first to arrive and the last to leave, but their impact reaches far beyond maintaining our buildings. They build relationships with students, lend a helping hand when needed, and bring joy to our school communities in countless ways. Whether they're joining in on spirit weeks, participating in theme days, or stepping into a mascot costume to make students smile, they help create the positive and caring school culture that makes Bangor schools special.

Thank you for the pride you take in your work, your dedication to our students and staff, and the kindness you bring to our schools every day. Your contributions make a difference in ways both seen and unseen.

Please join us in thanking our amazing custodial team for all they do!

We appreciate you today and every day.

Dear Bangor School Department Families, Staff, and Community Members,

As part of our ongoing facilities planning process, the Strategic Planning Committee is seeking feedback from our community as we work to evaluate the current and future needs of our schools.

During recent community listening sessions, we presented information about the challenges and opportunities facing our school facilities. We encourage everyone to review the presentation, which can be accessed here:

Listening Session Presentation: https://aptg.co/lB7VQQ

Within the presentation, you will find both a direct link and a QR code that will take you to a community survey. We value your perspective and encourage you to take a few moments to share your thoughts. Your feedback is an important part of this process and will help inform the committee's recommendations as we plan for the future of Bangor's schools.

The survey will remain open through September 10, 2026. We encourage you to participate before the deadline to ensure your voice is included in this important community conversation.

Thank you for your continued support of the Bangor School Department.
