PTO

The Downeast PTO is  a group of volunteers who raise money to provide enrichment activities for students, help purchase equipment and meet other needs of the school and community. Some of the fund raisers include a yard sale, Square 1 Art, Pancake Dinner and a Silent Auction. Funds were used to support the following:

  • Spring Fair

  • Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee

  • FOODPLAY assembly

  • Frogtown Mountain Muppeteers

  • A family dance

  • playground equipment

  • eyeglass fund

  • scholarship

The PTO meets on the first Tuesday of each month (September 13 due to Labor Day) at 6:30 in room A1 at the Downeast School. Daycare is provided during this time. Volunteers are encouraged to attend and become an active participant in this community organization.
